Finding meaning in what I notice

How I see

I see the world through a photographer's eyes. I’m drawn to light, to fleeting moments, to the way nature pulls me into the present.

I notice the auburn trees on my morning walk, each one about to let go. The way a person holds their face mid-conversation. The pink light fading across a gravel road.

I create from what I notice: photographs, writing, film. And I write about what it all means: beauty, relationships, faith, the small shifts that change everything.

If something I notice resonates with you, come and read. It's an unhurried space. Honest writing about the things I'm noticing, learning, and living.

Portrait Photography

I photograph people the way I photograph nature - looking for the light, the unguarded moment. I want to capture the essence of a person beyond their surface. I take a small number of portrait sessions each year in and around Christchurch.
